Julie Atherton: No Space for Air
Studio Recording

Following the success of her debut album A Girl of Few Words, West End star Julie Atherton releases her second album No Space for Air.

Fusing an innate theatrical sensibility with a ravishingly raw, angst rock vibe, No Space for Air is a unique and groundbreaking album for the Spring Awakening and Lady Gaga generation. Julie’s musical influences range from Alanis Morrissette and Skunk Anansie to legendary musical theatre composer Stephen Sondheim, leading to a wonderfully eclectic and personal selection of material.

Julie Atherton: No Space for Air is produced by Neil Eckersley and Paul Spicer for Speckulation Entertainment with creative direction by Paul Spicer, musical direction and orchestrations by Craig Adams. Recorded at Resident Studios in April 2010, the recording is released by Speckulation Entertainment.

Quotes...

“Today's leading lady of new musicals."
Sunday Express

“Her second stunning solo album showcases a series of new songs and new composers. Musical theatre is in safe hands when promoted as brilliantly as this."
Mark Shenton

"Atherton is a good enough singer to make us uncharacteristically jealous. If the hidden track doesn’t make you stop what you’re doing then you’re probably not entirely human."
Pink Paper

“A force to be reckoned with."
